ISSF releases the figures of stainless steel production

The International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF) has released figures for the first nine months of 2019 showing that stainless steel melt shop production increased by 3.4% year-on-year to 39.8 million metric tons.

In Europe and the US, the production decreased by 7.2%, and 7.5% respectively. China registered a growth of 11.7%. Other Asian countries and other parts of the world combined registered a decrease of 5.4% and 3.1% in steel production.
