The International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF) has released figures for the first half year of 2017 showing that stainless steel melt shop production increased by 5% year–on–year to 23.2 million metric tons.
In USA, the stainless steel melt shop production saw a tremendous 24.3% increase in comparison to 2016. In other countries like Asia w/o China and S.Korea it was 5.2%, China – 4.2%, Europe 2.3%, and others 3.3%. Totally, there was 5% improvement in the melt shop production when compared to the last year.
