ISSF release 3 month Stainless Steel production data

The International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF) has released figures for the first three months of 2018 showing that stainless steel melt shop production increased by 9.5% year-on-year to 12.8 million metric tons.

In Europe and US the production increased by 10% and 9.8% respectively. However China and other Asian countries registered negative, with -1.9% and -1.6% compared to the first three months of 2017. The rest of the world combined registered 10.3% increase in the steel production.
