Iran: GTL processing plant

Iran’s oil industry is planning to build a small GTL (gas to liquid) processing plant in the Assaluyeh, southern Iran. The GTL processing plant, construction of which is slated to begin early next year, would have a nominal capacity of 2,500 barrels per day (bpd). Making use of the iron and cobalt catalysts in the processing of GTL, Iranian experts at Iran’s Research Institute of Petroleum Industry (RIPI) have registered their findings at the related international institutions. They have been working on the project for over 10 years, noted Mehdi Ahmadi Marvasti, the research project manager.
