IOC to invest in Iran

Indian Oil Corp. (IOC) has lined up close to USD 1.5 billion as its share of the total investment of USD 5.7 billion in a stream of integrated LNG projects captioned "exploration to gas sales" in Iran. To be developed jointly with Iran’s Petropars, this venture will be developed as five seperate projects. These include the upstream project to produce two billion cubic meters of gas per day, a nine million tonne per annum (mtpa) LNG liquefaction facility, a LNG shipping project ,a LNG re-gasification terminal and a 500km transportation pipeline.
