Interpipe, a major manufacturer of steel pipes and railway products based in Ukraine, promotes sustainable development principles supporting the development of environmentally friendly energy solutions across Europe.
The Company supplied OCTG pipes for a geothermal project in Slovakia which has been actively investing in renewables as a part of its national energy transition strategy. The new system should supply almost 175,000 MWh of clean energy annually.
For the Slovak geothermal project, Interpipe delivered a significant volume of nearly 1,000 tons of threaded seamless casing with API Buttress connection. The batch included a range of diameters from 7″ to 13 3/8″. The pipes were manufactured in accordance with the API 5CT standard and designed to perform reliably in demanding geothermal conditions.
Interpipe provides a comprehensive portfolio of OCTG seamless products, including proprietary premium connections specifically designed for geothermal applications. These include the UPJ-SP connection, compatible with API Buttress, and the UPJ-QR connection. Both are available in a wide range of diameters to meet the requirements of the European geothermal market.
