Indonesia: gas plants

PT PLN has announced plans to build two gas power plants with a total capacity of 600MW in South Sumatra this year. PLN president director Dahlan Iskan said the two power plants will be using gas from South Sumatra, The power plant in Prabumulih is expected to have a capacity of 200MW with the one in Musi Rawas, 400MW. The power plant in Prabumulih will use 45 million standard cu/ft per day (MMSCFD) of gas from the Singa field operated by Medco EP Indonesia. The plant in Musi Rawas will use 80MMSCFD of gas from the Jambi Merang field run by Hess Indonesia.
