India: thermal power plant

Tata Power Co. Ltd has announced that it is setting up a new 250MW power plant at its Trombay Thermal Station. The setting up of the new power plant will help augment power supply to Mumbai, Tata Power said in a statement. The 250MW Unit # 8 will use imported coal with very low sulphur and ash content, given strict adherence to environmental guidelines. The project is scheduled to be completed in 28 months.
