India: steam generator boilers

Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) has won its first commercial order worth INR 25 billion for the supply of 800MW steam generator boilers from Andhra Pradesh Power Development Co. for the 1600MW Krishnapatnam power project in the Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh in India. BHEL’s scope of work in the contract envisages manufacture, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of the steam generators and associated auxiliaries including electrostatic precipitators. For the project, the boilers will be manufactured by BHEL at its Tiruchirapalli works in the state of Tamil Nadu, while the company’s Hyderabad and Ranipet plants will supply the coal mills and the ESPs, respectively.
