India: power plant deal

Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction Co. has received a KRW 1.2 trillion order from India. Under the deal with the India-based firm GMR Energy Ltd, Doosan Heavy will build a coal power plant in Raipur in India. Construction of the plant, which will have a capacity of 1370MW, is scheduled for completion in the second half of 2013. In a separate regulatory filing, Doosan Heavy said that it will provide equipment worth KRW 859 billion to its Indian unit, Doosan Projects India PVT, for the project.
