India: iron ore palletizing plant

Outotec and TATA Steel have agreed upon the delivery of an iron ore palletizing plant to be built in TATA’s steel works in Jamshedpur. The contract value exceeds EUR 70 million. When completed in 2011, the palletizing plant will be the largest such plant in India and among the largest in the world. Outotec’s scope of delivery covers basic and detail engineering, supply of critical and proprietary equipment for a plant with 768sq/m grate area as well as technical assistance services. Outotec’s local partner in the project is Larsen & Toubro Ltd, whose scope of work covers detail engineering, local supplies, erection and commissioning along with civil and structural works.
