Hygiene levelling feet now EHEDG certified

LM.F-HD-SST series of levelling feet in stainless steel with permanent floor mounting facility are now EHEDG certified (European Hygienic Engineering & Design Group).

This means that it offers significant advantages in improved hygiene and reduced cleaning time, so enhancing the environment of industrial areas such as in food production, pharmaceutical, paint and dye manufacture and similar, as well as saving on use of cleaning materials and time taken in wash-down cycles.

For example, there can be up to 25% time saving with less consumption of water, energy and cleaning agents, by use of specific design criteria with high-grade stainless steel and FDA/EU compliant plastics.

It is clear that in the food industry, medical technology and the pharmaceutical industry, product safety and consumer protection are becoming increasingly important. Due to their specific properties, standard parts in hygienic design can assist the production process in these sensitive areas, and facilitate the manufacture of products with a long shelf life, which is free from preservatives.

Maximum hygiene is a fundamental requirement, not only where food is produced. Hygiene also plays an increasing role in other industrial areas, from the pharmaceutical industry to the manufacture of paints and dyes. Nowadays, a major issue is the manufacture of products without added preservatives or with a few added preservatives as possible, while still achieving a long shelf life. However, this can only be achieved in a production environment in which all risks of contamination with microorganisms or dirt are excluded. For plant construction, this means that all components, elements, as well as surfaces, must be designed accordingly. Contaminants must not accumulate and must be easy to remove.

The LM.F-HD-SST in capacities from 30000N to 67000N is part of the Hygiene Design range which includes a series of knobs and handles all to hygienic design criteria.
