Hoa Phat Group successfully delivered 10,000 tons of large-sized steel pipes for the construction of the National Exhibition Center in Dong Anh District, Hanoi – the largest exhibition complex in Southeast Asia. This monumental project, developed by Vingroup, started construction in August 2024 and is expected to be completed by July 2025.
Covering a total area of 90 hectares, the National Exhibition Center is set to become Southeast Asia’s largest exhibition hub, the fifth largest in Asia, and one of the top 10 largest exhibition centers globally. Designed to host major trade fairs and international exhibitions, the facility will solidify Vietnam’s role as a key player in global trade and event hosting.
The steel pipes provided by Hoa Phat are mainly utilized for the steel structure processing of the exhibition center. The types of pipes supplied include round pipes with diameters of 141mm, 168mm, 219mm, 273mm, and 323mm and square steel pipes with 250 x 250mm. These pipes have proven vital for creating the structural backbone of the complex, with the total volume delivered by Hoa Phat being approximately 10,000 tons.
The investor has assigned the construction to three major steel structure contractors in Vietnam: Dai Dung, ATAD, and QH Plus – all long-term partners of Hoa Phat. Among these, Dai Dung is the primary contractor, responsible for 60–70% of the overall steel structure volume. Notably, Dai Dung also contributed to iconic structures such as Lusail Iconic and Stadium 974 for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
