Ha Tinh province has just approved the investment plan for a stainless steel plant project in Hoanh Son ward, covering an area of over 66 hectares. The project will be implemented by three domestic and foreign investors in two phases, with a total investment of nearly VND 10,000bn.
According to the decision, the project will be implemented by three investors: SINGVIN ASSET MANAGEMENT (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD.; LAND RIVER HOLDINGS PTE. LTD., and Son Ha Dong Nai Industrial Park Investment Joint Stock Company. The project will be implemented in Hoanh Son ward with a total planned area of over 66 hectares and a total investment of VND 9,800bn.
The stainless steel plant is expected to provide products and services, including stainless steel coils with thicknesses from 2.5mm to 5mm and widths from 1,000mm to 1,580mm; stainless steel grades 200, 300, and 400, with a capacity of 2,000,000 tons/year; and a hot rolling line with a capacity of 1,950,000 tons/year.
The project utilizes three main production lines: steelmaking and continuous casting; hot rolling of steel billets; and acid cleaning and quenching of hot-rolled steel coils. Specifically, Phase 1 involves the construction and installation of a hot rolling line with a capacity of 1,950,000 tons/year, a hot acid cleaning line, and other supporting facilities, to be completed within 36 months from the date the investor is granted land lease by the State and the land is handed over to the site.
Phase 2 involves the construction and installation of a stainless steel billet production line with a capacity of 2,000,000 tons/year, a hot acid cleaning line, and other auxiliary facilities; to be completed and put into operation within 36 months from the date of completion of Phase 1 of the project.
