Guild International announced that they have been chosen to supply a state-of-the-art fiber laser welder for a new direct rolling, annealing and pickling line being built for one of the largest steel producers in the world.
This cutting-edge, fully automatic welder quickly produces seamless welds with zero overthickness using the latest in fiber laser technology, and includes an induction annealer and planisher.
The new laser welder will be installed at a top-tier stainless steel producer based in India. When completed at the end of 2022, the new processing line will have an annual capacity of approximately 700,000 metric tons of cold-rolled, 200, 300 and 400 series stainless steel.
