Gerdau supplies steel for expansion of airports

Gerdau, a leader in the segment of long steel in the Americas, will provide steel for the expansion and
construction of new passenger terminals at the International Airport of Guarulhos and the International Airport of Viracopos, both in São Paulo.

Among the products supplied by the company are rebars, trusses, bars, nails, annealed wire, mesh for
reinforced concrete, and fabricated rebar. Developed from Gerdau’s modern industrialized system of cutting and bending, the steel is delivered in the quantities, shapes, and sizes needed for the building project. This helps to reduce costs and increase the speed of the work, resulting in productivity gains of up to 70% in the production process of preparing the structures and up to a 15% reduction in spending on steel products by eliminating waste.
