Generics factory in Brazil

Hexal do Brasil will invest R$ 108 million in a new factory for the production of pharmaceuticals and generic drugs in the municipality of Cambe, Parana, Brazil. The German parent company is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of generic drugs and has been active in Brazil since 1999. The factory is scheduled to open in July 2003. New technologies and processes to be installed in the factory will permit the production of drugs that are of the same quality as those produced world-wide by the company.
