Gazprom and RusGazDobycha reach FID on Semakovskoye

Gazprom and RusGazDobycha reached a final investment decision on the project for the development of the Semakovskoye gas field in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area.

RusGazAlyans (established on a parity basis by the Gazprom Group and RusGazDobycha) carried out a set of design and survey works, drew up the design documentation, and obtained permits from governmental authorities to start construction and installation operations as part of the first stage of field pre-development (land).

As part of the first stage of pre-development, RusGazAlyans commenced development drilling. Construction is underway for the first horizontal development well with a vertical deviation of more than 2,000 meters. The well is designed to have a measured depth of about 2,700 meters, with a vertical depth of 830 meters. Its construction, which includes geological studies, is expected to be finished by the end of this June. It is planned to complete the construction of the first six development wells by no later than Q1 of 2021.

According to the project schedule, the active phase of construction and installation is going to begin in H2 of 2020.
