French refinery project

Foster Wheeler France will perform engineering, procurement and construction management services for Esso Société Anonyme Française, ExxonMobil’s affiliate company at its Port-Jerome Gravenchon refinery in Normandy. The PJ21 project at the plant has a total investment cost of US$220 million. It includes a new grassroots Gofiner unit, upgrading of the existing fluid catalytic cracking unit (to increase plant conversion and propylene production) and other associated units, such as monoethanolamine treatment and sour water stripper. Foster Wheeler’s Paris and Milan offices will execute the contract. Work begins immediately and the units are scheduled to for a third-quarter 2004 start-up.
