FPSO projects offshore Brazil for EPIC

EPIC is providing project management services for the treatment of 200,000bbls of water and oil emulsion stored in multiple storage tanks on the Polvo FPSO and for converting external ballast tanks back to oil storage tanks. EPIC will also provide project management services for the reinstatement and system verification of the existing drill rig located on the Polvo A platform that is interconnected to the FPSO. The platform and FPSO are located 62m east of Cabo Frio City in Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil in 340ft of water.
 

EPIC’s scope of work includes developing detailed scopes of work and establish the projects’ budgets and schedules, sampling and analysing the water and oil emulsion mixture and establishing and coordinating a remediation plan. EPIC will convert the external ballast tanks back to storage tanks and replace and upgrade various drilling equipment and control panels. It will also prepare bid packages and supervise third party contractors as well as inspect and verify services utilizing EPICom.
