Fourth Sendzimir mill

North American Stainless (NAS), a subsidiary of Acerinox SA, with an investment in its Kentucky plant (USA) of USD 1250 million up to date, has contracted its fourth Sendzimir mill with identical characteristics as the previous one: maximum width coils 1.350 mm, maximum tension 50 tons and maximum speed 800 mpm, which during its second month of operation has already obtained a production of 8410 tonnes. The equipment supplier will be SEJAL (Sendzimir Japan), mechanical equipment manufacturer Mitshubishi-Hitachi, and for the electrical equipment Toshiba-Mitshubishi. The anticipated start up date for this mill is March 2006.
