According to Chinese flange company, EO Flange Co., Ltd., austenitic stainless steel forgings in the heating process will have high grains at high temperature. When the heating temperature exceeds 1200 ℃, the quantity increases quickly. Therefore, the initial forging temperature of austenitic stainless steel forgings should not exceed 1200 ℃.
The final forging temperature of austenitic stainless steel forgings should be higher than that of sensitized temperature.
During carburization, austenitic stainless steel forgings will form chromium carbide, which reduces its intergranular corrosion resistance. This type of steel heating helps avoid contact with carbon. The forging should be rapid through the temperature, so as to prevent the precipitation of carbide dissolved in the austenite, and should be treated with solid solution.
