Fluor awarded chemical complex EPC

Saudi Arabian Oil Co. (Saudi Aramco) and The Dow Chemical Co. (Dow) have awarded Fluor Corp. a reimbursable engineering, procurement and construction management contract for all of the utilities and offsites at the al-Jubail chemical complex in Saudi Arabia. The complex will be owned and operated by the Sadara Chemical Co., a joint venture to be formed by Saudi Aramco and Dow. The new chemicals complex is expected to be the largest single-phase development in the world, with a planned investment of USD 20 billion.
