Flowserve to upgrade facilities in India

Flowserve will spend USD 30 million to expand and upgrade two manufacturing facilities in Coimbatore, India. Although the two existing facilities at the campus generate a wide range of industrial and engineered pumps, the new investment will see a third facility added that will manufacture high-energy pumps used in nuclear and fossil fuel power plants. The new facility is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2012. This strategic plan will provide Flowserve with a local source for high-energy pumps, allowing them to participate in the rapid growth in both the nuclear and fossil fuel power generation markets in India.
