FlowCal water calibration facility

Flowquip, a flow and instrumentation specialists, has announced the arrival of their new water calibration facility “FlowCal”. Using master flowmeters traceable to Swiss National Standards, the rig will allow Flowquip to test and calibrate flow meters on water to up to 3000l/mn. The FlowCal calibration rig uses stainless steel pipework and a stainless steel tank. A separate water filtration system has been included to make sure that the water remains clean and free of contaminants. Its 3000ltr/mn pump is controlled by a PLC via a variable speed drive allowing fine control of flow rates. The rig employs four primary meters. Each has been calibrated to national standards to give both accuracy and traceability. The new rig is an addition to the existing Flowquip Shellsol calibration facility. Flowquip also offers temperature and pressure calibrations, both traceable to UKAS.
