Flatface coupling made of stainless steel

Tema AB (Skövde, Sweden) can now supply high-grade stainless steel flatface couplings to complement the IF Series steel connection systems. The innovative flatface principle protects sensitive supply systems in chemical and industrial plants from the ingress of dirt and moisture. The new robust, stainless steel couplings are resistant to corrosive media and meet stringent requirements, such as those specified for use in clean-room technology. As with all flatface couplings, they are absolutely leak-proof and seal hermetically on both sides. No liquid can escape on disconnection, and no air is entrained on connection. An additional bonus is that, when the flatface coupling is greased, using the matching grease nipple, neither dirt nor liquid can penetrate under the locking sleeve, so that this cannot freeze solid even under sustained sub-zero conditions, ensuring that the reliable functioning of the connectors is maintained. Tema supplies low-leakage, stainless steel flatface connection pieces in nominal sizes 6.3 to 25. The male connector profile complies with ISO 16028. All components are made from grade 1.4401 (AISI 316) stainless steel.
