A fatal accident occurred on 7 November at AvestaPolarit Stainless Oy’s cold rolling mill in Tornio. The victim of the accident, which occurred at the annealing and pickling line, was a male employee, born 1974, who had been working for the company for two years. Investigations into the cause of the accident, the first ever resulting in the death of an employee at the stainless steel mill, were started immediately.
