Ferroli’s has launched its Optimax boilers, designed for the domestic market, both new-build and replacement. These compact boilers provide fully modulating heat outputs from 7.3 to 24.7kW, making them suitable for smaller domestic applications such as 1 and 2 bedroom houses and flats. Optimax boilers are designed to the latest SEDBUK A standards with a high 91% efficiency and low emissions. The boiler has a built-in motorised three-port valve (on combination models) with an easily removable head and a built-in condensate trap for fast on-site installation. The boilers operate in high-efficiency condensing mode even when only heating hot water in the summer months, resulting in year round energy savings. Automatic controls also provide optimum heat output adjustment each time heat is demanded, again improving efficiency and reducing fuel requirements. The gas/air mix is precisely controlled for maximum combustion efficiency and is fully modulated under automatic fan control for further fuel savings. A large down-firing ceramic burner also ensures that the boilers are ultra-quiet in operation. The boiler has a stainless-steel heat exchanger and a Grundfoss pump is fitted as standard on relevant models.
