Qasco has a 25% interest as an incorporating partner in the Bahrain-based United Stainless Steel Co., which will go on stream in 2007. The Qasco PC Strands project is expected to start up late this year, with production capacity of 80,000 metric tonnes per year. The Qasco Steel Melt Shop Furnace plant, due to go on stream in 2008, will have an annual production capacity of over 1,000,000mtpa.
