EU cuts duty on stainless fasteners

The European Union stopped charging anti dumping duties on stainless steel fasteners and parts imported from Vietnam on 20 November 2010. An automatic stop to the duty was broadcast when none of the EU based producers issued complaints about their Vietnamese competitors to the appropriate office in the EU. This provides Vietnamese producers with an advantage as China and Taiwan are still subject to 85% and 23.6% respectively during the 12 to 15 month review period. Products made in Indonesia and Thailand are also not subject to duty.
