ERI lands contract for Ghalilah desal project
Aquatech International has awarded Energy Recovery Inc (ERI) a contract for provision of energy recovery devices for a large scale desalination plant in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The 68,000 m³/d Ghalilah plant will be built for the Federal Electricity & Water Authority (FEWA). ERI expects to ship its PX Pressure Exchanger devices to Aquatech in the current year to facilitate the scheduled completion in 2013.

The Ghalilah plant is ERI’s second large project in the UAE. Proven reliability, energy savings and uptime were critical factors in FEWA’s decision to use PX technology for Ghalilah.
