Environmental Elements gets orders for AOD Units

Environmental Elements Corporation has received two significant new contracts from American Electric Power for EEC’s Ammonia-on-Demand(TM) (AOD) technology, which facilitates the control of nitrogen oxide emissions. EEC will install an AOD system on Unit 3 of AEP’s John E. Amos Plant and on the single-unit Mountaineer Plant located in St. Albans, West Virginia and New Haven, West Virginia, respectively. These awards follow the start-up in May of another AOD system installed by EEC at the Gen. James M. Gavin power plant in Cheshire, Ohio, which utilizes a pair of the nation’s largest capacity generating units (1300mw each). The Amos and Mountaineer units are also rated at 1300mw.
