Eletropaulo invests USD 1.8 billion

Eletropaulo is planning to invest USD 1.8 billion in the construction of three thermoelectric plants in Sao Paulo, capable of producing 2500mw. Eletropaulo and other companies in the sector are in discussion with the government over various questions facing the power generation and distribution industries, such as the Anex 5 legislation and its effect on distributors, and the effect of taxes on performance.
