Elastomers expansion in Georgia

Kraiburg Corporation (Duluth, Georgia, USA), a business unit of Kraiburg TPE GmbH (Waldkraiburg,Germany), has completed construction and begun production of Thermoplastic Elastomers at their new plant site in Duluth, Georgia. Phase II expansion plans to increase production of Thermolast K, a thermoplastic elastomer with excellent resistance to ultra violet light, hydrolysis, and many other characteristics, are already being designed. Anticipated implementation of the project is expected within the next 12 months. Expansion plans include the installation of a second twin-screw extrusion line and supporting utilities to produce approximately 1,500 tons per year of elastomer product. The new site in Georgia is Kraiburg’s first manufacturing site in the United States.
