Drever gains two Chinese contracts

Drever International SA, part of the LOI Group, will be providing the heating and cooling section for a new cold-rolled annealing/pickling line at BaoSteel’s Ningbo Baoxin Stainless Steel Co. in China’s Zhejiang province. The project is being managed by a consortium of DMS and ABB, as well as Drever, and others. The Drever furnace will process cold-rolled stainless at a rate of 47.4 metric tons/hour when production begins late in 2005. Also, Drever will be providing Taiyuan Iron and Steel Group in China’s Shanxi province with an annealing furnace and cooling section for an A/P line for hot-rolled stainless. This line is being built by a consortium that includes DMS, Alstom, and Ruthner, as well as Drever. It will process hot-rolled stainless at a rate of 129.83. metric tons/hour when the line starts up in mid 2005.
