Dr. Anup K Pujari, IAS, Secretary, Government of India, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise has been assigned the additional charge of the post of Secretary, Ministry of Steel. Dr. Pujari has also assumed the charge of CMD, Steel Authority of India Ltd. (SAIL) with effect from 1st October, 2015. He is a 1980 batch officer of Karnataka cadre and he has held various positions in the government sector. Before the present portfolio, he has served as the Secretary in the Ministry of Mines.
Dr. Pujari has earned Ph.D. in Economics from Boston University and holds a post graduate degree in Economics from Delhi School of Economics.
