Doosan Škoda Power to supply steam turbines for TRM

Doosan Škoda Power has been awarded a contract to supply two steam turbine generators with a total capacity of 110 MW for a new power plant to be built at an oil refinery operated by Petroperú.

The new power plant will be built as part of the Talara Refinery Modernisation (TRM) project. The project aims to modernize and expand the capacity of the Talara refinery to produce gasoline and gas, increase crude oil refining capacity and minimize waste. This is an important project in the Oil and Gas market for the Pilsen-based steam turbine manufacturer.

The DST-G20 controlled-extraction turbines are able to cope with high input stream parameters and demanding industrial environment conditions. The two 55 MW single-casing turbines, including the generator, will be designed and manufactured in the Plzeň-based production plant and supplied to EPC contractor, Cobra Peru S.A. Doosan Škoda Power will also provide technical assistance during assembly and commissioning. The power plant in the Talara refinery is scheduled to be commissioned at the end of 2019.
