Dofasco Inc. has announced that effective from 30 November 2007 it will change its name to ArcelorMittal Dofasco Inc. Mr Juergen Schachler president & CEO of Dofasco Inc. said that “Retaining our identity as Dofasco in association with ArcelorMittal allows us to build on a reputation that has taken many years to earn and is the result of the hard work and commitment of generations of Dofasco employees. We are combining two names that stand for leadership in the steel business: Dofasco as Canada’s foremost steelmaker and ArcelorMittal, the world’s No 1 steel company.”
