DMS to supply equpiment to China

Taiyuan Iron & Steel, Taiyuan (Shanxi), China, has contracted DMS to design, supply and commission two complete annealing and pickling lines for stainless steel. The lines will treat austenitic and ferritic steel grades with widths up to 1300mm and final strip thickness of 0.3 – 2 mm. The process speed will be 80 m/min. The scope of works includes furnaces, pickling sections and the electrical and automation equipment. The commissioning of the lines is scheduled for 2002/2003. The new lines will strengthen TISCOs market position as leading producer of stainless steel in China. Furthermore, at the beginning of 2001 Tisco ordered two additional Sendzimir cold rolling mills, ZR 22, from DMS, which are currently under fabrication and selected DMS to modernise their MKW cold rolling mill.
