Decom launches TorqCut onshore chopsaw range

Subsea cutting specialist Decom Engineering (Decom) has launched a new range of onshore hydraulic Chopsaws aimed at the civil engineering, demolition, and decommissioning sectors.

The TorqCut series builds on Decom’s extensive subsea cutting expertise to provide land-based cold-cutting solutions for piles, pipelines, demolition materials, and more—eliminating the heat, fumes, HSE risks, and overcutting associated with traditional methods.

The versatile range of excavator-mounted attachments initially includes four models (TQ-10, TQ-16, TQ-24, and TQ-32) capable of cutting materials up to 32″ in diameter, deployable on excavators weighing from 4 to 24 tonnes. The TorqCut range is ideal for steel and concrete pile cutting, especially in urban or restricted-access sites where low noise and vibration are critical, as well as for onshore pipeline and wellhead abandonment decommissioning work.

In industrial demolition and scrap recovery, TorqCut enables precision dismantling of structures containing high-value alloys such as Duplex and Inconel, preserving material integrity and maximising scrap value.
