Corrosion Materials has completed a 40,000sq/ft warehouse expansion bringing the total area dedicated to nickel alloys to 112,000sq/ft. In addition, the expansion includes a Kasto Unicompact 5.0 Automated Storage and Retrieval System for bar and tubular products. The Kasto Automated Storage and Retrieval System consists of 1117 cassettes capable of storing up to 24in diameter material x 30ft long with a weight capacity of 11,000lbs per cassette. The warehouse expansion also includes three additional 5tn cranes, an additional plate storage facility and an additional truck bay facilitating the loading and unloading of six trucks simultaneously. Also added is 3000sq/ft of space for onsite x-raying that has decreased the lead-time for this value-added service.
