Contract for Coflexip Stena Offshore International

Coflexip Stena Offshore announced today that Coflexip Stena Offshore International, one of its French entities, has been awarded through Single Buoy Moorings (SBM) significant part of the mooring and installation package for Shell Nigeria Exploration & Production Company’s (SNEPCO) Bonga field development. This field is located in OML* 118 some 120km offshore Nigeria’s Niger Delta South West coastline in 1,100m of water (3,600 feet). CSO International’s scope will cover project management, engineering, procurement, transportation and installation of three dynamic 19″ ID flexible oil offloading risers, each 2.3 km long (7,010 ft), for installation between the FPSO and the Single Point Mooring buoy. This will constitute the first use in the world of flexibles of such a length as export risers, between an FPSO and an offloading buoy.
