The commissioning of a modernized steel furnace with modern gas cleaning system took place at PJSC “Turboatom” recently and the commissioning celebration was attended by the Chairman of Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Igor Rainin. This is the final stage of reconstruction of the foundry.
The construction of the gas cleaning system became part of a technical retooling of the steel-making area in the steel foundry of workshop 50. Simultaneously with construction of the gas cleaning system, a new steel-smelting furnace was also commissioned, which is intended for the smelting of steel and cast iron with a volume of up to 9t for melting. This new equipment allows the stabilization of the chemical composition of the smelted metal to significantly improve its quality.
The advantage of the new steel furnace is in its ecological compatibility and safety. After commissioning, the scope and quality of the smelted metal will increase, the range of castings will broaden and production cycles will be reduced.
Modernized by “UkrRTC “Energostal”, the electric steel-smelting furnace ДС-5МТ differs in that it not only considerably improves technical characteristics but also gives proper safety for operating personnel and an easier to control steel-smelting process based on a modern ACS TP system which provides information to monitor the workplace.
