Bluewater (UK) Ltd has awarded Coflexip Stena Offshore International (CSOI), a business unit of Coflexip Stena Offshore, Paris, a contract for the design and supply of certain subsea system components and related services for the development of Sable field, in the Bredasdorp basin off South Africa. The agreement calls for CSOI to design, supply and instal the subsea facilities at Sable, including all production risers and umbilicals, in-field flow lines and associated equipment. In addition to these subsea facilities, CSOI will instal Bluewater’s 3-bundle mooring system, comprising of nine (chain-wire) mooring legs and anchor piles. CSOI will also mobilize, instal and hook up Bluewater’s Glas Dowr Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel in about 100 metres of water at a location about 150km SW of Mossel Bay.
