China develops mobile power generator

A Chinese manufacturer of aeroplane motors has developed China’s first mobile power generator for use by field staff or in emergency situations. The mobile power generator has a generating capacity of 1000 kilowatts. Experts with Harbin Dong’an Engine (Group) Co. say aeroplane engine technology has been used to make the generator more reliable and capable of working in high altitudes and cold areas, deserts and mountainous regions. The mobile power generator with a full tank of oil is capable of generating power for two hours without refuelling, and can work without interruption if fuel oil is added when required. The company says the mobile power generator with motorised transportation could be useful for the telecommunications industry, mining, hospitals, the armed forces and prospecting teams.
