An International Holding Centravis has signed a memorandum of understanding proposed by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. The aim of the Memorandum is to normalize the situation in the industry: to stabilize the prices of mining, coal and steel products, to preserve staff and social guarantees, as well as to develop the domestic market. In accordance with the signed document, the Government committed to allocate a significant portion of loans obtained in order to stabilize the financial system of Ukraine, to the development and solution of problems of MSC and related industries. The Cabinet of Ministers also intends to encourage the increase of consumption of domestically produced steel products on the Ukrainian market. Supplies of natural gas to the enterprises of MSC will be realized at prices of the foreign suppliers, taking into account the cost of transportation within the territory of Ukraine. It is also projected to accelerate the reimbursement of VAT to metallurgical companies, to set tariffs for the transportation of goods by railway, to specify principles to stimulate shipping according to the route and in group lots in the new tariff guidelines, the differentiation of tariffs based on the length of transportation route, etc. The Government also intends to increase the effectiveness of measures aimed at preserving and expanding markets for products of MSC, in order to stabilize prices to introduce the registration of prices for mining, coal and steel products for the domestic market, to lower electricity tariffs, to keep the level of fees for subsoil use at the current level.
