Cedar LNG selects SHI and Black & Veatch for FLNG

Cedar LNG, a partnership between Haisla Nation and Pembina Pipeline, has selected Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) and Black & Veatch for the project’s floating liquefied natural gas production unit (FLNG). Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) services are provided by Design, Fabrication and Delivery, subject to final investment decision (FID).

Cedar LNG said that with the signing of the EPC contract, the project has entered the advanced stages of planning and development and is expected to achieve FID by the end of Q1 2024. If the FID is successful, onshore construction work on the project is expected to begin as early as Q2 2024, with the FLNG delivered and substantially completed in 2028.
