SMS Concast AG has been awarded - jointly with SMS Concast America Inc. Pittsburgh, Pa. – a major contract from The Timken Company. As per the agreement, SMS Concast will supply a three (four)-strand UHQ (Ultra High Quality) vertical bloom casting facility for Timken’s Faircrest steel plant in Canton.
Aker Solutions wins umbilical contract
Aker Solutions has signed a contract with Woodside Energy Limited for the manufacture and supply of electro-hydraulic steel tube umbilicals (EHU) for the Greater Western Flank (GWF) Phase 1 project. The projects is located on the north-west coast of Australia.

Gabon to build new refinery
Gabon has signed a Memorandum of Understanding [MOU] with Samsung, a South Korea-based company, to build a new oil refinery in the Central African nation.
