Deep Casing Tools lands orders more than $2 millio

Deep Casing Tools has secured two repeat orders with a combined value in excess of $2 million (£1.2 million) for Saudi Arabia and the UK North Sea. Deep Casing Tools is an Aberdeen-based casing and completion technology specialist, Turbocaser Express tool runs in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province, which is what led to the repeat order.

Oil and gas filed comes on stream in North Sea

Production on the Visund South oil and gas field in the North Sea has been started up by Statoil and partners. Visund South is the first of Statoil's fast-track portfolio projects.
"This is a milestone," said head of field development on Visund South, Hogne Pedersen in a press release.

Hyundai to build dive vessel

Subsea 7 has signed a contract to build a new Dive Support Vessel (DSV). The state-of-the-art vessel will be built by Korean company Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI). With accommodation for 110 people, the DSV will incorporate an 18 man saturation system supplied by Drass and rated for 300 meters with two moon-pool deployed three man diving bells and two 18-man hyperbaric life-boats.

Kent Stainless named exporter of the year
