This prestigeuos project has a life time requirement of 120 years without maintenance, and therefor stainless steel reinforcement has been specified in the critical areas of the structure, mainly in splash zones.

CEU York platform starts production

The York field owned by Centrica Energy Upstream (CEU) will produce around 120mmscfd of gas per day at its peak. Gas will be exported via pipeline to CSL’s terminal in Easington, East Yorkshire.

Vallourec has announced its results for the full year 2012. Sales volume was down 7% on 2011 at 2,092 thousand tonnes. However sales were stable year on year at EUR 5,326 million (+1%). Of the net income, group share of € 217 million representing € 1.

Stamicarbon wins patent appeal

Stamicarbon, the Licensing and IP Center of Maire Tecnimont S.p.A., has won the appeal procedure against two patent applications of the ACES21 technology of Toyo Engineering Corporation from Japan. Some time ago Toyo Engineering Corporation of Japan filed two patent applications, which cover the heart of a „new‟ urea process and are exploited by TEC under the commercial name “ACES21”.
